Five Little Pumpkins

5 Little Pumpkins

5 little pumpkins sitting on a fence.
The first one said, “Oh my, it’s getting late!”
The second one said, “There are witches in the air!”
The third one said, “Well we don’t care!”
The fourth one said, “Let’s run and run and run!”
The fifth one said, “I’m ready for some fun!”
Whoo-ooo went the wind
And out went the light
And the five little pumpkins rolled out of sight!
What a cute little Halloween poem for our little pumpkins to learn.
While finding some other crafts to do with my little pumpkins I ran across a website that gave some great tips for shining up your pumpkins and making them last longer too.
Seems Vaseline is the tip to give them the glossy shine and sparkle.  Clean the outside of your pumpkin with a part bleach part water solution, found here, and then buff with some Vaseline and a cloth.
You can also apply a thin layer of Vaseline to your cut & carved pumpkins.  Pat dry your pumpkin with a paper towel then rub the Vaseline into the cuts making sure to get it into all the corners and such.
Check out this blog for more great tips and some beautiful crafts
